Особенности ловли в условиях сброса воды
 Регулирование уровня воды перед наступлением ледохода и последующего паводка направлено на предупреждение возможных затоплений человеческих строений и для обеспечения прохода рыб в южных низовьях таких рек как Волга и Дон. Сбросы в конце зимы бывают настолько резкими и быстрыми, что понижение уровня воды в водоеме для его обитателей означает наступление «стихийного бедствия».
 

Рачки, личинки, жуки, черви, которые попадают под ложащийся на грунт лед, или погибают, или зарываются в грунт, а чаще успевают скатиться с убывающей водой. Поэтому граница уже опустившегося на грунт льда, как никогда, сконцентрировала большое количество корма для рыб. И, казалось бы, что вся рыба должна здесь стоять и кормиться. Но не все так однозначно.
