Northeast India looks to ramp up ornamental fish production

The north-eastern states of India have numerous indigenous ornamental fish species that are in high demand among owners of aquaria, but farming these species is yet to fulfil its true potential.

Dhrubajyoti Kalita left his high paying job as a digital marketing manager in Hyderabad and returned to his native state of Assam in northeast India to start farming ornamental fish in his backyard in 2018.
