Fish bombing: 2 foreigners nabbed near Pulau Tiga

The Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) apprehended two foreign nationals on Jan 17 on suspicion of engaging in fish bombing activities near Pulau Tiga.

The operation was conducted in collaboration with Sabah Parks, in response to information regarding such practices around the island.
 

Labuan MMEA Director Captain Izwanhadi Idros said the joint operation took place one nautical mile south of Pulau Tiga at 10.30pm.

“Upon checking, our teams discovered various species of fish inside the boat and three bottles of explosives containing ammonium nitrate,” he said, Friday.
