Fish are biting, but ice still thin

Spotty ice didn’t deter anglers from finding their honey holes.

Local fishermen have reported plenty of bites and fish on Lake Nipissing over the last week.
 

Ontario Provincial Police have cautioned anglers from venturing out onto the lake until conditions improve.

Two days ago ice fishermen reported open water near Deep Water Point and Sunset Beach.

Steve Hardcastle said the locals are doing quite well on the lake.
