Prachar bids farewell to Roseau River WMA after 35 years

When Randy Prachar moved to northwest Minnesota in 1988 to become the assistant manager at Roseau River Wildlife Management Area near the Canadian border, he didn’t anticipate spending his career there.
 

Too much open country and not enough trees, recalls Prachar, who grew up in Willow River, Minnesota, a forested area south of Duluth, and came to Roseau River from a job in the Adirondack Mountains of northeast New York.
