Fish ladder in Tibet listed as highest altitude in Guinness World Records

A fish ladder in the Laluo water conservancy project in Shigatse, Tibet autonomous region, was listed recently in Guinness World Records as the world's highest altitude fish ladder, with experts optimistic its success will be replicated elsewhere on the plateau.
 

According to the region's department of water conservancy, the ladder, located on the shore of the project's dam, is 2,194 meters long and located at an altitude of 4,305.21 meters. The ladder comprises one fish inlet, ponds, resting pools and six outlets.
