The Robert Campbell Highway runs along its route from Watson Lake to Ross River along the southern shore of the lake. 3 miles south of the lake is the Finlayson Lake Airport.
An expedition led by Robert Campbell Hudson's Bay Company (HBC) reached the lake in 1840. Campbell named the lake after Duncan Finlayson, a member of the Hudson's Bay Company's management. |
