С самого раннего детства усач был моей одной из самых любимых рыб в горных реках. Он всегда был желанным, непредсказуемым и преподносил сюрпризы тогда, когда их уже давно не ждешь. Тогда, в далекие 70-е, мне так и не удалось поймать крупного усача, хотя рыбы в те времена было значительно больше, чем сейчас.

Дело в том, что в детстве на горных реках я проводил только летние месяцы. Самый крупный усач к тому времени уже давно отнерестился и уходил в верховья в глубокие ямы. Там его поймать было не так-то просто, да и не умели мы ловить в детстве.
