Dietary immunostimulants shown to manage columnaris in catfish

A new study suggests that an enzyme sourced from bacterial fermentation and a humic substance extracted from peat moss can both help to improve the health of farmed catfish, offering hope of an affordable means for reducing columnaris disease.
 

Lead author, Abdulmalik Oladipupo from Auburn University, explains to The Fish Site how the trials were conducted and the implications of their results.
