Специалисты АО «Терра Тех», дочерней компании холдинга «Российские космические системы» (РКС, входит в Госкорпорацию «Роскосмос») продолжают спутниковый мониторинг «цветения» водоемов. Совместно с некоммерческим фондом «Без рек как без рук» и кафедрой гидрологии суши географического факультета МГУ имени М.В. Ломоносова проведено исследование динамики эвтрофикации водохранилищ Волги.

«Цветение» воды – эвтрофикация - характерно для всех водоемов в летнее время. Продолжительный теплый период, экстремальная жара, сброс коммунальных стоков и вынос удобрений с полей вызывают интенсивное размножение сине-зеленых водорослей. «Цветение» изменяет качество воды и мест пляжного отдыха, нарушает режим работы гидротехнических сооружений и влияет на рыбное хозяйство.
