Escaped farmed salmon find home in Alaska

Commercial fishermen in Alaska have caught hundreds of Atlantic salmon that have escaped from fish farms in places like Canada and Washington state. A few of these escapees have even made their way into Alaska's freshwater streams.
 

State fisheries managers
worry these interlopers could wreak havoc on wild salmon populations. But just how big is the problem? The Alaska Department of Fish and Game (ADFG) is literally diving in to find out.
