Libyan-based Dr Jamila Rizgalla, head of the Department of Aquaculture at the University of Tripoli, talks about her journey into the aquaculture sector and how she is working to progress aquaculture development in her country
 

Tell me a bit about your background?

I was born in Libya and studied veterinary sciences at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Tripoli in Libya, graduating in 1999. I then went on to complete my MSc in Aquatic Veterinary Studies at the University of Stirling’s Institute of Aquaculture in 2005 and returned to Libya to join the Department of Aquaculture at the University of Tripoli’s Faculty of Agriculture in 2006.
