Представлен дрон, способный работать как в воздухе, так и под водой
 Компании QYSEA, KDDI и PRODRONE совместно создали первый в мире коммерческий беспилотник, который может летать в воздухе и работать под водой. Изделие называется Sea-Air Integrated Drone.

Как правило, подводный беспилотный аппарат запускается с подходящего участка береговой линии или с борта судна. Sea-Air Integrated Drone в корне меняет ситуацию. В нём объединены воздушный дрон, разработанный PRODRONE и KDDI, и подводный дрон промышленного класса FIFISH PRO V6 PLUS ROV производства QYSEA. Технология дальней связи KDDI позволяет оператору отправить аппарат в заданное место в океане. Там он приводняется и запускает подключённый кабелем подводный беспилотник.
 

Sea-Air Integrated Drone можно использовать, например, для осмотра подводной части прибрежной ветряной электростанции. Другие потенциальные области применения включают съёмку дикой природы или проверку состояния корпуса плавающего средства.
На разработку было потрачено шесть лет. Спецификации, включая радиус действия и массу, а также цена и срок начала продаж не названы.
