Meet the one-of-a-kind owner of Minnesota's most 'sturgeony' fishing resort

"The Dutchman" howls like a wolf and likens himself to "Barbara Walters with a fishing pole." He'll teach you how to catch "dinos" on the Rainy River.

Like the ancient fish at the center of his life, Kevin Hinrichs is an old soul with a lot of fight.

Along with his wife, Jenn, they broke away from familiar surroundings in southern Minnesota to buy a small resort on the Rainy River. As the world was beset by COVID-19, the Hinrichses ventured out to capitalize on the Upper Midwest's enduring passion for fishing.
