An Ohio 15-year-old just caught a blue catfish that could break a state record.
Jaylynn Parker, a 15-year-old from New Richmond, Ohio, has been fishing with her father since she was young.
She was fishing in New Richmond with her father, Chuck Parker, and a close family friend, Jeff Sams, when she caught the 101-pound blue catfish. |

Parker is waiting on official confirmation from the state, but it is so far the largest wild-caught blue catfish in Ohio.
Parker said over the past few years, they have started jugging on the Ohio River when it floods and have had successful catches this way.
"Little did I know that I would have the chance to pull in the fish of a lifetime, weighing in at 101 pounds," Parker said. |
