Зима на юге Беларуси всегда мягкая и непредсказуемая. Пробежит какой-нибудь северный антициклон, закует мелководные старицы тоненькой корочкой льда, и через несколько дней уступит место продолжительной оттепели. Так что первый лед в наших краях может случиться и в ноябре, и в январе.

А может получиться и так, что за календарную зиму сезон подледной ловли рыбы можно открывать и закрывать 5-6 раз. Кто из рыбаков рискнул, не побоялся залезть на тонкий лед, успеют день-другой порыбачить. Да и то, порыбачить – это не значит хорошо отловиться.
