Big O’ fish’ challenges angler for an hour as he reels it in from Nevada river

An angler reeled in a massive, record-breaking carp on a Nevada river, a catch he says took him more than an hour to bring in.

Pedro Gonzales caught the 22-pound, 5 ounce fish on Aug. 13 on the Humboldt River in Eureka County, the Nevada Department of Wildlife said in a Aug. 16 Facebook post. The fish measured over 36 inches in length and had a 23-inch girth, the department said.
