SIU researchers hoping to curb cannibalism among large-mouth bass

Bass fish farming is a booming business in southern Illinois, bringing around $3 million into the region in 2023.

Researchers at Southern Illinois University are working to make that profit even larger.
 

“This project is a way of doing aqua-culture a little differently,” said Koaw Zaczek, a member of the research team.
