Fishing competitions can be taxed if brought under ambit of law: Kyrmen Shylla

Speaking to media persons in the city, he said that though fishing is a hobby or an activity taken up by the rural population, if it is taken up as a gambling activity, it can be taxed and brought under the ambit of law if the government considers to do so.
 

Cabinet Minister Kyrmen Shylla, on April 5, said that the fisheries sector can greatly contribute to the state exchequer if proper steps are taken to mitigate the sector, and brought under the ambit of law.
