Рыбы живут по лунному календарю, но самое большое влияние на клев оказывает все-таки Солнце, в основном через интенсивность освещения и магнитных возмущений, поэтому при ловле карасей так мало предсказуемо их поведение, которое нередко ставит в тупик даже опытных рыболовов.

Для поддержания клева приходится порой постоянно менять приманки, а перечень их огромен – червь, мотыль и другие личинки, хлеб, тесто, распаренные зерна, «болтушка» и т.д.

Удилище моей удочки для ловли карасей длиной около 6 м, легкое, быстрого строя. Основная леска 0,14 мм, сменные поводки диаметром 0,1–0,12 мм. Пружинный кивок-амортизатор служит продолжением удилища.
