The annual Redneck Fishing Tournament returns to Bath Friday.

Teams from across the Midwest and possibly beyond are expected to descend on the Illinois River to catch invasive silver carp - without using a fishing pole.

The goal of the tournament is to see how many fish can be caught with a net or knocked into one’s boat - thanks to the fish’s ability to leap out of the water.
