Fran Haughian, a spokeswoman for the PRRD, said no cause has been determined as to what caused the landslide. “We don’t know much more than what we sent out (Monday),” she said Tuesday morning. Haughian said the district was waiting on investigators, who were still en route as of Tuesday morning. She also said that a timeline of when the river would be cleared would have to wait until investigators arrived. Haughian said it was too early to speculate whether or not Monday’s rains played a role in the landslide. She wasn’t aware of anyone who was trapped or otherwise affected by the landslide.
