Conservationists call for end of the use of nets, electrofishing in dolphin conservation area

Conservationists in the country expressed their regret and condolence over the death of an endangered dolphin and called for an end of net fishing and electrofishing in conservation areas.

Phay Somany, Deputy Director of the Fisheries Conservation Department of the Fisheries Administration, told national news yesterday that they deeply regret the death and call on the fishermen to immediately stop the use of nets and electric devices in the dolphin area and to join in protecting dolphins.
