Продажи в РФ байкальского омуля в 4 раза больше разрешенного вылова

Росрыболовство намерено усилить контроль за реализацией байкальского омуля с тем, чтобы остановить браконьеров.

Как сообщает ведомство, об этом шла речь на совещание по выработке дополнительных мер, направленных на повышение запасов омуля в Байкале и недопущение незаконного оборота продукции из него.

Росрыболовство напоминает, что полный запрет на промышленный вылов байкальского омуля введен в 2017 году. Вылов разрешен только коренным малочисленным народам Севера. Квота для них составляет всего 55 тонн, при этом оборот байкальского омуля, согласно выданным ветеринарно-сопроводительным документам, превышает 200 тонн.

Как заявил замминистра сельского хозяйства - руководитель Росрыболовства Илья Шестаков, на которого ссылается пресс-служба, зачастую браконьерский байкальский омуль продается под видом другой продукции. В этой связи необходимо наладить тесное взаимодействие с Россельхознадзором, создать условия, при которых станет невозможна продажа продукции без наличия у нее идентификатора системы "Меркурий".
