It may be a possible record-breaking catch but the fisherman who hauled a 44.3-pound (20.1 kilogram) brown trout from the Mackenzie hydro canals, near Twizel, wishes to remain anonymous.
The man, who only wants to be known as “Seamus from Tūrangi”, took the whopper catch into the Razza Bar and Bistro in Twizel on Tuesday, and has donated it to the bar, to be taxidermied and hung up on a wall at the establishment alongside other big catches – a 38.9-pound trout and a 38.2-pound trout. |
