Март. В Сочи уже совсем тепло и даже зелено. Понятно, что зимы, как таковой, в субтропическом поясе не бывает, но тем не менее изменения существенны. В первую очередь важным изменением, для рыбака, является температура воды в море. Как раз в марте, вода начинает заметно нагреваться. Пока ещё без резких рывков растёт термометр, но рыба начинает откликаться в первую очередь. Вот и камбала, одна из первых реагирует на изменение окружающей среды.

В Чёрном море обитает насколько видов камбалы. Нас интересует самый крупный вид. Камбала-калкан. Есть ещё несколько видов глосса, речная камбала, морской язык и всякая мелочь в виде арноглоссов размером с ладошку. Глосса много на песчаных отмелях Азова и Кубани.
