Former Kingfish Maine operations manager Megan Sorby has revealed that her planned recirculating aquaculture system (RAS) farm for red drum already has a name – Pine Island Redfish – a permit and a location in southwest Florida.

The eponymous island is already home to American Penaeid, a leading provider of vannamei shrimp broodstock, as well as harvest to market, as well as a vast array of fruit and palm tree farms.
