Kai Boyle accidentally hooked the shark onto his fishing rod in East Fremantle, near the site a 16-year-old girl was mauled to death in a shark attack just last week.
"It's the biggest bull shark I've caught in Western Australia, I was like yeah this is a potential man-eater," the 21-year-old told 9News.
