Озера Мурманска оказались сильно загрязнены тяжелыми металлами

Российские ученые выяснили, что малые озеры Мурманска загрязнены тяжелыми металлами. Причиной их повышенной концентрации специалисты назвали выбросы с предприятий, которые накопились за последние 10–20 лет. Результаты работы исследователей опубликовал научный журнал Water, кратко об этом пишет пресс-служба Российского научного фонда (РНФ).

"В результате изучения пяти водоемов оказалось, что главными источниками этой проблемы стали выбросы ТЭЦ, угольного порта и мусоросжигательного завода, а большая часть загрязнителей накопилась за последние 10-20 лет", – пишет пресс-служба.

Жители Мурманской области используют озера для отдыха. Оказалось, что после купания или использования воды из этих водоемов в других целях люди могут получить серьезные проблемы со здоровьем. Озера Мурманска оказались практически неизученными, особенно с точки зрения химического состава донных отложений, которые служат надежными источниками знаний о самом водоеме.
