The fisherman, from York, was caught at Porth Reservoir, Newquay, and found guilty of using an unlicensed rod and line for fishing freshwater fish or eels in regulated waters. The 30-year-old contravened Section 27(1)(a) of the Salmon and Freshwater Fisheries Act 1975.
