Технология микро-AUV держит в тайне секретные подводные миссии, наблюдение и разведку
 Несмотря на то, что AUV могут перемещаться глубоко под водой в течение нескольких дней, им все равно приходится всплывать, когда приходит время передавать собранные данные своим пользователям - это связано с тем, что радиоволны плохо распространяются через воду. Но пока корабль плавает на поверхности, есть шанс, что его заметят. Вот где на помощь приходит микро-AUV.
 

Аппарат разработан британской компанией ecoSUB Robotics и был экспериментально установлен на существующем AUV Solus-LR, работающем на водородных топливных элементах, производства канадской Cellula Robotics. Подводный аппарат может опускаться на глубину 3000 м (9843 фута), двигаться с максимальной скоростью 2 метра (6,6 фута) в секунду и преодолевать расстояние до 2000 км (1243 мили) без дозаправки.
