Owning tropical fish as bad for the climate as riding a motorbike

Owning tropical fish may be as bad for the environment as driving thousands of miles on a motorbike, a study has found.

Heating the tank, transporting the fish and pumping water all require energy, and data show a large tank can create as much as 635kg of CO2 a year.
