According to the International Game Fish Association, the current world record of 130lbs was set in May, 2010 by Greg Bernal of Florissant, Missouri. Mr Anderson, who is head coach for Kinston High school's Vikings, said the fish was caught around the Goat Island area near Clarksville. He would not disclose what bait was used but said it was caught using an Ugly Stick rod with a 30lb test line.
