Peter Hassett posted to Instagram showing off the "big girl" he caught - which measured in at 2.5 metres in total - while he was fishing along the Noosa River earlier in the week.
Hassett told Brisbane's 4BC that he hooked the shark on the western side of Noosa Sound, about 150 metres from the rock wall.
