As of March 15, 2024, Canada imported more than 8 million USD worth of pangasius from Vietnam, an increase of 43% over the same period in 2023.
According to the Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP), in the first half of March 2024, Vietnamese pangasius exports to Canada were valued at 2.3 million USD, an increase of 7% over the same period last year. |

From the beginning of the year to March 15, the country’s pangasius export value in Canada posted over 8 million USD, an increase of 43% over the same period in 2023. Canada currently remains the second largest market in the CPTPP in terms of consumption of Vietnamese pangasius, accounting for 20% of the country’s total value. |
