Деревня наша, когда-то густо населенная, расположена на небольшом холме на берегу красивой реки. Вокруг необъятные луга и поля, и в половодье иногда деревня становится островом. Поэтому почти у каждого были лодки и челны и многие знали толк в рыбной ловле.

Время шло, деревня, как и многие другие на Новгородчине, постепенно приходила в упадок и наконец последние местные жители уехали.

Но деревня продолжала жить.

Каждый год сюда приезжали люди, кто на охоту с гончими или легавыми собаками, кто просто отдохнуть, заняться огородом или порыбачить, сходить в лес по грибы да ягоды.
