Акулы-молоты задерживают дыхание, чтобы не замерзнуть во время охоты Дал

Credit: Deron Verbeck, University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa		 Исследователи из Гавайского университета в Маноа установили, что акулы-молоты (Sphyrna lewini) умеют задерживать дыхание. Они используют эту способность при погружении на большую глубину во время охоты в холодной воде на кальмаров и других глубоководных животных.
 

Ихтиологи обнаружили эту необычную способность во время масштабного наблюдения за жизнью и повадками акул-молотов. Для этого они установили на животных устройства, которые одновременно измеряли температуру их мышц, глубину погружения, ориентацию тела в пространстве и уровень физической активности.
