Just how deep was the water from Hurricane Francine?

So deep that fish were swimming on Kenner roads and flopping in grass yards as the floodwaters receded Thursday.

While some of the fish were small, others — mostly carp — were as as big as 18 inches.

The marine life were discovered in University City, a neighborhood between Vintage Drive, West Esplanade Avenue, Loyola Drive and the parish line.
