Water quality, temperature, pH levels, and high ammonia concentrations exacerbate A. hydrophila infection by compromising host immunity and creating favourable conditions for bacterial proliferation. Oxygen concentration and nutrient availability complexly influence the spread and virulence of this pathogen.
