Each man was sentenced to 30 days in jail and ordered to pay $1,000 and court costs. After their release they will serve two years on probation and perform 400 hours of community service, Marshall said. The men have appealed the conviction, Marshall said. The judge ordered that the men surrender their Alabama hunting and fishing licenses during their appeal and that the licenses be revoked for the two years they are on probation. The inability to hold licenses would prevent them from participating in tournaments during that time and some tournament organizers have banned the men from future events.
