Морось, затянувшая тусклой пеленой окрестные березняки и осинники, приглушив их золотой и багровый цвет, перешла в холодный осенний дождь, тяжелые капли которого звонко забарабанили по стеклам и крыше нашего УАЗика. Гуще посыпались на раскисшую глинистую дорогу листья, залепляя лобовое стекло.

- Ну какой дурак в эту пору за карасем едет?

- Ладно бы окушков на блесну подразнить или, скажем, со спиннингом походить, а то надумали – в октябре за карасем!

– Так ведь ты же и предложил, Борис! – под дружный хохот напомнил Петрович.

Машину в очередной раз тряхнуло и хохот сменился оханьями и руганью на этот раз в адрес Бориса.

– Ты, чем брюзжать, лучше за дорогой следи! – сердито проворчал Петрович, потирая ушибленную голову. – Все башки порасшибали, пока везешь!

– А ни хрена вам не сделается! Сами сюда захотели! – отмахнулся Борис.
