Perth fisherman defends releasing three-metre bull shark back into Swan River

A Perth fisherman who caught a bull shark in the Swan River on Thursday morning, has defended re-releasing the three-metre beast back into the water.

Kai Boyle accidentally hooked the shark onto his fishing rod in East Fremantle, near the site a 16-year-old girl was mauled to death in a shark attack just last week.
"It's the biggest bull shark I've caught in Western Australia, I was like yeah this is a potential man-eater," the 21-year-old told 9News.
