Fish with HUMAN teeth found by stunned mum on US beach – 'never seen anything like it'
From a distance, the fish looks like any other, but up close it becomes strange – and the species can grow to almost two and a half feet long.

Maleah Burrows, 31, encountered the creature as she walked with her child on the shores of St Simon’s Island in Georgia, US.

“We were just walking along the beach and it was washed up far from the shoreline and caught our attention,” she said.

“I originally just thought it was a plain old fish – nothing exciting, but I still wanted to show my three-year-old.

What she’d found where the remains of a sheepshead fish, which uses its unusual teeth to crush shrimp, clams, crabs and mussels.

The freaky marine beast has also got a reputation for stealing bait from fishermen.

Maleah, from Charlotte, North Carolina, continued: “It had really thick, large scales on its body which was interesting.

“It had an entire mouthful of teeth – they weren’t pointy but blunt like an animals. Behind it’s first row of teeth were buds that filled up its entire mouth.

“I’m not sure what they were, but I'm guessing more teeth.”
