Centennial Lake, and Black Donald Lake adjacent downstream, were created by the construction of the Mountain Chute Generating Station and dam and an associated embankment dam in 1965–1966
Road Access:Follow Trans-Canada Hwy and turn left onto Calabogie Rd/Route 508 (signs for County Road 508/Calabogie Road), follow for 39 km. Turn right onto Centennial Lake Rd/County Rd 65 for 14 km.
