Grindstone Creek arises from the Hayesland Swamp and follows an S-shaped path to its confluence with Burlington Bay. The Niagara Escarpment at Waterdown effectively separates the fish communities within Grindstone Creek. Downstream of the Escarpment, the creek supports a number of resident and migratory fish species while the fish community upstream of the Escarpment is restricted to resident fish species. |
